Here is the story: When I got my new MacBook, last year, I also got a free Itouch, which was what I own and was semi happy with, didn’t really get to work much with it because I got caught up with classes and other projects. I was also not really into the gaming features or apps. All I wanted was something to listen to music on. A simple contraption I can take with me on the go, and listen to my music in the car when the radio keeps playing “California girls” by katy perry on repeat. Ne ways So it turns out that my younger brother stole the itouch from because he deemed that he put more use into it then I did and therefore he owns it. I, being, the unselfish older sister that I am, gave in and let him have it (he doesn’t know that its his yet-he thinks he is just hanging on to it for me). I came back to school IPOD less so I am back to square one. Then I gave in and purchased the IPOD classic- 160 GB. Now it can double as a external hard-drive for back up memory space as well. So you see this purchase was mandatory and necessary. All in all I am happy. Now I just need to update it with some new music. Any suggestions? And if you want to send me songs, email me =) or suggest them under comments. Currently I have total of 7 songs.

So I am currently reading a teen series called "Pretty Little Liars". Some of you may judge me and my lack of reading complexity. I don't care. There is something about an easy page turning read that gets me going, especially if its a best seller. I am not a book snob, I try to give everything a try, and if I like it, its a go. So ne ways. I am currently reading the series and am on the fifth book.

The books also have a tv series on ABC family, which just finished its first season and is actually pretty good. It doesn't follow the books exactly but similar ideas and same characters. I just thought I would share, just in case someone wanted to read the books. Although now that school has started I don't thinking keeping up with a series is a good idea. I am one of those WHO devours a good book, I will not read in parts or portions or when I have free time, I am reading until its finished.

Summary:
Pretty Little Liars is a series of young adult novels by Sara Shepard. The series follows the lives of four girls — Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily  — whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison. Three years later, they begin receiving various messages from someone using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets  — including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew.[1]
Originally developed as a television series by book packaging company Alloy Entertainment, the idea was described as "Desperate Housewives for teens."[2] Alloy met author Shepard and gave her the property to develop into a book series.[2] The first novel, Pretty Little Liars, was released in October 2006.[1] It was followed by Flawless and Perfect in March and August 2007,[3][4] Unbelievable and Wicked in May and November 2008,[5][6] Killer in June 2009,[7] and Heartless in January 2010.[8][9] The eighth and final installment, titled Wanted, was released on June 8, 2010.[10]
television series based on the novels premiered on ABC Family on June 8, 2010.[11]

So I have begun to notice an alarming issue in regards to the amount we pay and the result we see. In general it would make sense that “you get what you pay for” right? That is what we are taught to shake us off of our stingy ways and get us to spend a few extra bucks on a seemingly more superior product.

Over the past summer I have started to notice a few trends that prove otherwise and actually makes me question where my money is going and why on earth anyone would want to spend more for less.

A prime example can be found in those expensive 4-5 star hotels. Your spending more money, so you would expect to receive better treatment then a 2-3 star motel right? Why then are you having to pay extra for things like valet parking and breakfast? Why is that my dollar stretches further a 3 star which is “less glamorous” and not elite where I can get a complimentary breakfast and have ample parking space? More importantly WHY are we okay with this?

It seems to be a phenomenon that is shaking the nation, I spend more money on something which just means that are going to be more fee’s along the way. And because it seems glamorous (thanks to fergie I can spell that word), we are willing  to bite the apple.

Take a few minutes to consider where your hard earned cash is going and whether or not its worth it. I assure you that there are not cockroaches at the la quinta whose beds and shower are just as good as any Hilton/Hyatt.  This doesn’t just have to be in regards to hotels, that was just an example, but it can be with anything. Just pay close attention the next time you are paying more for a seemingly “better” product. Evaluate the overall package and ask if its really worth it.

“There’s a time when a man needs to fight, and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny is lost. The ship has sailed and only a fool would continue. Truth is… I’ve always been a fool.”
This is From Big Fish (2003)- I found it on a blog that I read, and I really liked it. If this is what it means to be a fool, then I want to be a fool.

Dear Readers,

Be Fools for your dreams.

So I realize that an update on my blogging whereabouts has been long overdue. Unfortunately I got swamped or overwhelmed or just plain too busy to do it. Here are a list of things that kept my mind away from wordless thoughts:

-Health Fair (church event)
-Feeding the Needy (church event)
-Work (yeah i officially held a job and brought home money (isnt that incredible??) )
-conferences (yes, i put aside my differences and attended PCNACK)
-PYCD
-Lock-in
-and last but not least WEDDINGS.

It seemed that ever the span of my two month well awaited summer break, there was something to do every weekend. Something I had to plan, or pack, or attend. Before I knew it it was time to move back and time for school to start up once again. I have thought up so new things that I wanted to make as blog entries so you will see several posts coming up quite soon.
